Our available pairs, trios, etc. are generally shown on the Guinea Pigs for Adoption page.
We do not usually advertise our singles as the choice is down to your piggy; They are social animals so we only allow adoptions of singles if they are to join another guineas.
If you already have guinea pigs or accommodation m which meets or exceeds our minimum requirements then please follow the below steps to make an adoption application to us.
If you have not yet sourced accommodation for your piggies then please pause & use our Guinea Pig Housing page for resources.
If you are still unsure if your current or proposed accommodation will be suitable; please contact us before purchasing anything as many ‘cage’ setups sold are not atall suitable. (Eg. Anything sold by Pets at Home!)

Do your research!
Are piggys the right pet for you? They can live up to 8 years (sometime longer!), require lots of love and interaction, enrichment, cleaning, a varied diet, and vet fees. Guinea pigs are classed as exotic pets, so make sure you are confident that you can look after them in the long term. Little Wheekers cannot pay for any medical treatment once they have been adopted.
Congratulations, you are on the path to being a piggy owner!

Approval and adoption date set up!
We will speak with you about collecting your piggies and sort out payment details.
By prior agreement, we can ‘reserve’ pairs of pigs for upto 10 days to allow adopters to prepare for their piggies arrival.
Collect your piggies!
When you take them home for the first time, be sure to give them some time to settle in. A move is very un-nerving for piggies, so give them a couple of days to settle.
Fall in love with your piggies and decide two isn’t enough…
Where a piggie(s) is to join others we will always try to arrange a speed date at one of our fosterers. We could line up several piggies for you, each date takes up to 30 minutes each. If the date goes well you can adopt the piggie(s) and take them home, although we recommend you take them home in separate carriers. Once you get them home you will need to supervise them closely for up to 12 hours then monitor closely for several days. Baby monitors or affordable home webcams can be used to assist with this observation.
Where space allows we offer residential bonding, where your piggie(s) stays with a fosterer while they bond them for you. You would just pay boarding for your piggie(s). Unfortunately, residential bonding does not guarantee a successful bond.
Piggie(s) adopted can be returned if the bond subsequently is not successful. We are happy to keep trying others available until we have a successful bond. If after multiple bond attempts we are unsuccessful, then we an advise on alternative options such as castration/neutering to allow boy/girl combinations.
